PDO Threads AkaPolydioxanone Threads

PDO lifting threads. Polydioxanone threads, often known as PDO threads, are a type of medical sutures that are commonly used in various aesthetic procedures.
Lifting threads refers to a cosmetic procedure that involves the insertion of biocompatible threads into the skin to achieve a lifting effect.
The aforementioned medical devices consist of hypodermic needles or cannulas that have been preloaded with a polydioxanone (PDO) absorbable suture.

PDO Threads, an absorbable stitch?

You can now get it at Aromas Medspa in Kendall, Doral, Weston, and Miami. Our team of doctors is fully trained and licensed to use PDO threads. Polydioxanone makes up this synthetic medical suture that can be absorbed. To do cardiothoracic surgery, like open-heart surgery, PDO stitches are used. It is one of the best things that can be put inside the body. It takes 4 to 6 months for your skin to fully absorb it, and it won’t leave any scars. Nouth Threads and Mediglobal Threads are the two best PDO types that we sell at Aromas.

Dream of a lunchtime non-invasive facelift? Well, dream no more! We are ecstatic to be one of the few medical facilities here in South Florida to offer Absorbable PDO Thread Lifts!

-What Are Polydioxanone Threads, likewise known as PDO Threads?

They are injection needles that already have a PDO suture on them. Some people have never heard of PDO sutures, but they have been used for years to do open-heart surgery. This absorbable thread is one of the best things that can be put into the body, and it disappears completely in 4 to 6 months. The best thing? The effects can be seen for up to two years!

-How Long Does the Treatment Take?

The treatment plan is simple:

  1. We insert the preloaded needles into the skin on the targeted areas.
  2.  The PDO suture stays beneath the skin as soon as the needle is removed.
  3.  You’re done! In and out in under an hour with no downtime!
– How does it do its job?

We use the skin’s ability to heal itself to create tiny “injuries” in the desired area, which will then trigger the production of new collagen. This is also the idea behind our other treatments, such as Microneedling, Derma Pen, Chemical Peels, and Fractional Laser. When the PDO Thread is put into the skin, it responds to it and starts to gently heal itself and make new collagen! It may take up to two months to see results, but you can see a 30% change right away.

Just shots! The PDO Threads are needles that already have a thread on them. Just put the needle all the way through to the subcutaneous level, making sure it is straight out from the skin.

There is still a PDO thread under the skin.

Botulinum toxins (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) and injectable fillers work best on the upper and middle thirds of the face. The chin and neck, on the other hand, are hard to treat. This is where PDO Threads come in! PDO threads can be put in any part of the body, but they work best in the middle to lower third of the face and the neck. They are also great for lifting the brow, fixing sagging skin on the arms, knees, inner legs, and stomach, and lifting the BUTT.

-How Can I Prepare?

Like with any injectable treatment, you run the risk of temporary bruising and swelling. In order to prevent bruising, eliminate blood thinners like aspirin, NSAIDs, red wine/alcohol, Vitamin E, fish oil, green tea, and herbal supplements for a few days before your treatment.
